WebbI recall reading somewhere that your CPU getting stuck at 800MHz was as a result of a broken "slow mode" switch. The workaround offered by MSI was to disable "Intel Adaptive Thermal Monitor" - disabling this would return the CPU to its full speed. You can either keep it disabled, or just RMA the board.
